Widget Stacks

The iPhone has always been designed to put as much information at your fingertips as possible, and iOS 14 took this one step further with the introduction of widgets.

Widgets are a great way to get quick information from all of your favorite apps, without having to open the app.

But if you’re worried about too many widgets taking up too much room on your Home screen, the good news is that you can consolidate several widgets into one widget stack.

Here’s how to create a widget stack on either your Home screen or the Today View screen.

Navigate to the screen where you’d like to put your widget stack either a page on your Home screen or the Today View.

Then, Tap and hold any existing widget until everything starts to jiggle.

2. Decide on at least two widgets that you want to turn into a widget stack.

Note that they must be the same size widgets, so you can’t stack square widgets with rectangular widgets.

You have to pick one or the other. Or, change the size of one of the widgets.

3. Tap & Drag your first widget over top of your second widget then let go. This will create your widget stack.

Repeat this process for any other widgets you want to add to your stack.

You can add up to 10 widgets in each stack.

4. Tap the “Done” button. Now you can swipe up and down on our widget stack to move from one widget to another.

So now, you’ve just saved some room on your screen by creating your first widget stack.
