iOS updates are crucial in helping you maximize your iPhone to the fullest.
If you have been using your iPhone for quite some time, you should know by now that Apple constantly releases iOS updates. This is meant to help deliver important updates straight to your iPhone. And after the company released the iPhone 13, the iOS 15 update also came with it.
iOS 15.3 update
The iOS updates are pushed directly into your iPhones. You usually get a notification that there is an update and you can already download and install it. Oftentimes, hackers try to exploit weaknesses in the system and this is one of the reasons why you get regular updates. Apple makes it a point that as you enjoy leading technology in your iPhones, you are still protected as well.
The recent update takes on some loopholes hackers might use to get access to your files as well as performance updates. Apart from “bug fixes and security updates,” here are some of the updates you can expect if you update to iOS 15.3.
- ColorSync – the update contained a memory fix for ColorSync to prevent unknown files to access your device.
- Crash Reporter – security updates were pushed into your iPhone to help protect it from malicious applications getting in through the Crash Reporter
- iCloud – a vital security patch was included in the iOS 15.3 to help further protect your account from unauthorized access
How to update your iOS
If you want to know how you can perform a software update to get the iOS 15.3, here is a step-by-step process you can follow.
Step 1 – Find your Settings app and tap on it

Step 2 – Tap on the “General” option

Step 3 – Choose the “Software Update” option

Step 4 – Follow the steps to download and install the update and you’re all set!

Step 5 – Once Done, go back to turn the Automatic Updates ON so you will be prompted as soon as an update becomes available.

It is a good practice to constantly check if there is an update for your iOS. Though your iPhone will show it with a prompt in the Settings app, checking it from time to time will also help. Doing this will help make sure that you are able to enjoy your iPhone without worrying too much about hackers gaining access to sensitive information in your iPhone.

Now to figure out how to update my Apple watch. It always says there isn’t enough memory and to get rid of some apps but not how to do it. Took me 3 days last time I tried. So I ignore it for now.
I have an I phone 7, which works very well. I was told by an Apple employee a while back , that there are just so many updates my phone can handle. Is there a limit as to how many updates you can do on an older phone without causing problems ?
