What Song is That? Using iPhone’s Music Recognition

By iPad Pete 18 Comments

Did you know you can use your iPhone to instantly identify virtually any song playing around you?

Whether the song is playing on TV, in a Restaurant (remember those), or on the Radio… You can easily figure out what song is playing with just a few quick taps of your finger.

Here’s how to figure out what song is playing using your iPhone on iOS 14.2.

1. Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.

2. Tap the option labeled “Control Center.”

3. Scroll down to the section labeled “More,” then tap the “+” button next to the entry for “Music Recognition.”

4. Then, when a song is playing around you, pull down the Control Center from the top right corner of your iPhone and tap once on the “Music Recognition” button. The icon will be highlighted and Siri will start listening to any music playing in the area.

That’s it! After a second or two your iPhone will tell you the song artist and title that is playing – even if you’re listening to it with headphones!

Hello, is there a way to back up the things that I’ve saved in my documents folder? I save a lot of things in there that I don’t want to lose.
