Customize Your iPhone with Widgetsmith

By iPad Pete 2 Comments

If you’re looking for fun new ways to customize your iPhone while making it easier to access your important data… The Widgetsmith App can help.

This unique app is now the #1 Productivity App in Apple’s App Store.

Widgetsmith Lets You Customize Your iPhone Widgets

iOS14 changed the way you use your iPhone in numerous ways. But the one new feature that most people love is a home screen with customizable widget areas to add your favorite shortcuts and more. The only downside is that Apple’s customization tools for this feature are limited, which can make it difficult to add what you really want to this section.

That’s where the developers at Widgetsmith saw an opportunity. They’ve created a free app that allows more flexibility for creating and customizing iPhone widgets. Not only can you add calendars and your favorite photos to this section, you can also feed in data like your local weather, the number of steps you’ve taken according to your health app, and more. From there, you even have the option to change fonts and colors to make each section easier to read.

Installing Widgetsmith & Basic Use

The process of installing Widgetsmith is easy.

You can Download the App for Free on the Apple App Store here.

Or, simply go to the app store, search for it, and press download. It’s a free app and shouldn’t take too long to download to your phone.

Open it up and you’ll notice the ability to add small, medium, or large widgets. Decide which one you want to customize and tap on the name. It will automatically choose a calendar widget, but this is customizable by tapping on the calendar that was created by default.

You can then choose the style and type of widget you want. Select from elements like your favorite photos from your albums, clocks, reminders, calendar information, and more. The exciting part is they seem to add new elements all the time, so you can check back occasionally to see what they’ve added. This is also the same area where you can change widget borders, colors, fonts, and other style factors.

Adding Widgets Using Widgetsmith

Once you’ve arranged your widgets the way you want them, close the Widgetsmith app. Go back to the widgetized area on your home screen and press firmly until a plus sign appears. Tap this icon and scroll down until you see Widgetsmith.

Choose the size widget that you want to add from small, medium, or large. These sizes will correspond to the widgets you created earlier in the app. Add it to your home screen by clicking on add widget, which will give you a default widget. Once this is done, long-press the widget to choose which one from your Widgetsmith collection you want to use. It’s really that easy!

Final Verdict: Should You Download Widgetsmith?

Widgetsmith makes customizing your iPhone home screen widgets easy and effective. It is a recommended app for anyone who likes the added flexibility and functionality for their iPhone Widgets.
