Everyone hates it when your iPhone is running out of battery juice. You might be in the middle of a meeting, running errands, expecting a call, or need to send an email ASAP.
Whatever your scenario is, one thing is for sure – you need your iPhone badly.
When you’re a heavy user, chances are, you have to charge your phone more often. So watching your favorite Netflix videos or just simply playing the next level of your Candy Crush Saga, means you use your iPhone’s battery more.
If you want to extend the battery life of your iPhone, there’s a feature called “Low Power Mode” that will help extend your battery life. By default, this feature is automatically triggered once you hit your battery’s 20% charge level.
If you need to conserve your battery because of some important reasons, then you can turn on Low Power Mode manually. This will help you extend the battery life up to three hours, according to Apple.
1. Go to your iPhone’s Settings.

2. Scroll down and tap “Battery”.

3. Tap the “Low Power Mode” toggle.

4. Once this feature is enabled, your battery icon will turn yellow, which indicates it is running on low power mode.
Just a reminder that once you enable Low Power Mode, it reduces or affects these features:
- Background app refresh
- Automatic downloads
- Email fetch
- iCloud Photos (temporarily paused)
- 5G (except for video streaming)
- Auto-Lock (defaults to 30 seconds)
- Some visual effects
There you go! If you need to extend the battery life of your iPhone, then Lower Power Mode will do the trick. You can also bring a power bank with you to ensure that you’re always on the go.
But, when all else fails…
You can always recharge easily with a compact, easy-to-carry iPhone Pocket Power or iPhone Solar Charger.
