Using the Suggestions Feature in the new App Library

By iPad Pete 6 Comments

Suggestions Feature on the App Library

The new App Library will always show you suggested apps that it thinks you’re likely to be looking for, based on how you’ve used your iPhone in the past.

It will use the time of day, your location, or even a particular activity to serve up the apps you need, when you need them, no questions asked.

Here’s how you can use the new “Suggestions” feature in the App Library…

1. Start on your home screen. Wipe left to scroll to the right screen until you find the App Library on your device.

2. Locate the large folder in the upper left corner of the screen. This is the “Suggestions” folder and the app icons you see will always change depending on the factors outlined above.

It will always be one of the first two folders in the App Library, located to the left of the “Recently Added” folder.

3. Tap directly on one of the four icons in the “Suggestions” folder to open the app in question.

That’s all there is to it! Be sure to check back at different times of day (and in different locations) to see which apps your phone thinks you’ll want to use.

Note that because the suggested apps are based on how you actually interact with your iPhone, this feature will get more intelligent as time goes on.
