Live Activities are notifications that appear on your iPhone’s Lock Screen. They give you information about what is happening right now.
With Apps that have Live Activities, you can get at-a-glance information like Weather, Sports, Flight Information, Workout Progress, Social Media Updates, and more.
If you have the iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max, you’ll have a feature called Dynamic Island, where live activities are shown. If you press and hold down on a Live Activity on the Dynamic Island, you can see more information about it.
Other model iPhones will show Live Activities on your Lock Screen.
Now with iOS 16.2 you can customize Live Activities for “More Frequent Updates.”
Keep in mind more frequent Live Activity updates will drain your battery faster. So, you might want to be careful about how many apps you turn on the More Frequent Updates option.
Here’s how to turn on More Frequent Updates for your Live Activities…
1) If you haven’t already, Update to iOS 16.2
2) Open your Settings App
3) Swipe down and select an App that supports Live Activities.
4) Select Live Activities
5) Switch on More Frequent Updates
Now with iOS 16.2, you can customize your Live Activities, so they update more frequently – but just be aware that it will drain your battery faster.
Take some time to explore this feature and decide which apps are worth having frequent updates for so you get the information that matters the most to you!
