Switch to Facetime From a Message Conversation

If you are in the middle of typing up a response in your Messages app, and you decide to call your contact instead…

You can quickly switch to Facetime audio or video call linked to this specific contact.

Skip several taps, and save lots of time.

Step 1 – With the conversation in the Message app open, tap on the name of the person on top

Step 2 – This should open a new window and tap on the video icon

Step 3 – This will give you a drop-down option and simply tap on the Facetime option

However, if you are in a group message, it only takes two steps.

Step 1 – Tap in the icon on the top right

Step 2 – Choose either FaceTime Video or Audio

Easy, right? Once you get used to this shortcut, you’ll never need to go to your home screen, search for the FaceTime app, look up your contact – just to make the call!
