Hear iPad Pete read this story…
Stuck in the snow, stranded and alone – this Oregon man had no cell phone service.
But then remember he had a drone! So he attached his iPhone to it and flew off – text messaging for help until he got reception!
And that’s how he was able to get himself out of this situation – by using technology in a way that I’d never seen before.
But there was someone else who also needed help out there. So during their rescue mission, they stumbled across another person who’d been stuck for days.
It’s not every day you hear about such innovative use of technology like this, but it shows what can be done when faced with extreme circumstances.
And it just goes to show the importance of letting someone know exactly where you’re going and when you’ll be back.
This proves that you should never give up and always think outside the box.
Plus, it’s important to remember that if ever stranded in Oregon, you should stay in your vehicle – ’cause rarely do anyone there die due to exposure by walking away.
Just ask Cloe Fields and her boyfriend Christian Zelada, who were driving through Angeles National Forest when their car went over a cliff – 300 feet below!
But thankfully, they had the iPhone 14 ‘Emergency SOS via satellite’ feature on their phone, which saved them from this deadly situation.
So the next time you hear people making fun of drones, just remind them how they can save lives! That’s something we all need to remember.
And that’s the story of one Oregon man and his innovative use of technology to get himself out of a sticky situation!
Pretty amazing, don’t you think?
