Setting Up VIP Mail on Your iPhone

By iPad Pete 7 Comments

Are you looking for an easy way to make sure you never miss an important email from someone you know ever again? VIP Mail is absolutely how you do it.

In the iPhone’s “Mail” app, you can easily set up a new mailbox that will collect all incoming messages from “very important persons.”

Each new message will have a gray star next to the name of the sender, and that information will sync to all of your devices so long as you’re signed into iCloud.

This is especially helpful if you get a lot of emails on your iPhone every day so that you don’t miss something you need to act on immediately.

Here’s how you can set up VIP Mail on your iPhone in a matter of minutes.

1. Open the default “Mail” app on your iPhone.

2. Select the option labeled “Mailboxes” in the upper left corner of the screen that appears.

3. Choose the option labeled “VIP,” which will be located directly underneath the entry for your main inbox.

4. Tap once on the button labeled “Add VIP.” From here, you’ll be able to select a contact to designate as a “very important person.” You can do this as many times as you’d like.

That’s it! Now, whenever a new email comes to your iPhone from that person, it will go straight to the “VIP” inbox so you don’t miss a thing!
