Save Money on Streaming with This Simple Trick

By iPad Pete Leave a Comment

Streaming services are everywhere. From Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime to the new Disney+ platform, there are plenty of ways to stream entertainment without paying a fortune.

In this article, we’ll discuss how you can save money while using streaming services. We’ll also talk about the things that could go wrong with free streaming services.

How to Stream for Free

One way to save money with streaming services is to take advantage of free trials.

Most streaming services offer a trial period where you can sign up and watch content for a certain amount of time before being charged. This is a great way to get your feet wet without committing to a long-term subscription plan. Just make sure to set an alarm, so you don’t forget to cancel before the trial period ends!

Another tactic is to wait for your favorite shows or movies to drop on a streaming service before subscribing. This way, you know exactly what content will be available when signing up for a subscription plan, and you won’t have any surprises down the line.

Even if it takes a while, waiting until the show or movie is available on the service could save you from paying for months waiting for the next episode to drop.

Lastly, if you can plan ahead, you might want to sign up for a subscription plan at the lowest cost level. Most platforms offer multiple options at different price points so that users can choose what works best for them financially.

Additionally, many plans allow for sharing with family or friends, potentially cutting costs further depending on how many people are using it at once.

The Potential Downsides of Free Streaming Services

Of course, there are some drawbacks associated with free streaming services as well. First of all, depending on which service you use, you might not be able to access exclusive content unless you upgrade your plan or sign up somewhere else.

Additionally, commercials are often unavoidable during free streams – so if commercial breaks drive you crazy, this might not be the best option.

Finally, some free streams may be lower quality than their paid counterparts, which means they may lag or buffer more frequently than higher-quality streams in paid subscriptions (though this isn’t always the case).

If you’re okay with paying for streaming services, here are a few more tips:

1) Think about what you want to watch ahead of time. Subscribe to a service with many of the shows you want to watch. Once you finish watching everything on your list, move on to the next service.

2) Choose the cheapest plan for what you want to watch. For example, choose the basic Disney+ plan instead of the bundle that includes ESPN and Hulu if you’re not interested in those.

3) Eliminate things you do not use. Do not pay for something you never watch. If all you ever watch is Netflix, try pausing or discontinuing the other streaming services.

4) Finally, take advantage of promotional offers. Many streaming services offer discounts or special promotions if you sign up at certain times. Taking advantage of these could save you a ton in the long run!

Conclusion:

In recent years, streaming services have grown in popularity, in part because they are more convenient and cost-effective than conventional cable bundles.

But you can still save more money if you use free trials and the other ways we discussed above when you choose streaming over cable TV packages or other expensive entertainment options.

By taking advantage of these tactics and techniques, you can save yourself time and money while still being able to enjoy all your favorite shows and movies!
