Quickly Open Your iPhone Camera With This Simple Trick!

By iPad Pete Leave a Comment

Have you ever seen the perfect opportunity for a photo, but it took you too long to open your iPhone Camera, and you missed the shot?

Now, with this simple trick, you can open your iPhone’s camera faster than ever.

If you have iOS 14 or later, Apple added an accessibility feature called “Back Tap.” to your iPhone.

With this feature, you can unlock the power of your iPhone with just a few taps on its back!

Double- or triple-tapping your device can do things like open your Control Center, take screenshots, or activate accessibility features—all in an instant.

How to Set Up Back Tap to Open Your Camera App

1) Open Settings

2) Tap “Accessibility”

3) Select “Touch”

4) Select “Back Tap.”

5) Choose to open your Camera app with either a “Double Tap” (two taps) or a “Triple Tap” (three taps) on the back of your iPhone.

6) In the “System” section, select “Camera.”

Now when you tap the back of your iPhone two or three times, your Camera app will launch, ready for you to quickly take a picture.

How to Quickly Snap a Photo with Your iPhone Camera

Now that you’ve opened your iPhone’s camera in record time, it’s time to snap your photo.

You can use the volume button on the side of your iPhone to snap a picture quickly.

Does it work with a phone case on?

Back Tap works with most iPhone cases. But if you happen to use a significantly thick, rugged case, it might not work. To check, remove the case you are currently using and see if Back Tap works or not.

Compatibility

Back Tap feature is available on the following iPhone Models running on iOS 14 or later.

  • iPhone X
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone Xs and Xs Max
  • iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone 12 and later

Another Method to Open Your iPhone Quickly

If you already have your Back Tap feature set up for other actions, or if you don’t want to set up Back Tap, there’s another fast way to open your iPhone Camera.

Simply launch Siri and say, “Open Camera.”

Of course, with this method, you ruin the element of surprise if you’re trying to take a candid photo of your granddaughter.

Conclusion

Now that you know how to open your iPhone camera quickly, there’s no excuse not to capture those special moments!

Make sure you take advantage of this easy trick and never miss another memory.
