Prioritize Reminders In Your iPhone

By iPad Pete 4 Comments

In a fast-paced world, we all have a lot of things to keep tabs on.

From the grocery list that you need to pick up on our way home, to your child’s school needs…

You also might have a hundred deadlines at work you need to monitor as well.

Or are you planning a trip and need to make sure you bring everything? The last thing you need on a camping trip is leaving the tent behind, right?

With just your iPhone, all you have to do is use your Reminders app and put on your list. You no longer have to run after that post-it as if flies away from its place.

This task management program was developed right inside Apple and introduced way back with the iOS 5 release. There are also cool new features in the app with the iOS 13 update.

But before we look at the cool prioritization feature, creating reminders is pretty straightforward.

Create Your Reminders

Step 1: Just open the app

Step 2: Tap the “+ New Reminders” at the bottom

Step 3: Put in the details and press Done

That’s it! Pretty easy, right? Now we take a look at how you can make the most of your Reminders app by putting a Priority on it.

Setting Priority Level in Your Reminders

Even if you have already put in your reminders, say your grocery list, there are items you need to prioritize. Luckily, your Reminders can help you quickly label and see which in your list is important. Here are the steps you need to take.

Step 1: Open the Reminders app

Step 2: If you recently updated your Reminders app, this might show up. Just press Continue

Step 3: You can open an existing list if you already have or create a new reminder

Step 4: Once you have your list, tap the info icon on the far right of the reminder you want to put a priority on

Step 5: This opens up your Details menu

Step 6: Scroll at the bottom and tap on the Priority option

Step 7: Choose whether the reminder is a High, Medium, or Low priority

Step 8: Once done, tap the Details menu again and tap Done.
You should now see either 1 (low), 2 (medium), or 3 (high) exclamation points before your reminder.
This helps you visualize easily which of them you need to prioritize first.

Low Priority (!)
Medium Priority (!!)
High Priority (!!!)

Having the chance to put in a priority mark in your Reminders app just made it a lot more helpful. Not only do you have a handy digital list in the palm of your hand, but you also get to customize it depending on what your priority is.
