Pinning Text Conversations to Top of Messages App

By iPad Pete 6 Comments

Apple has made it easier to follow your favorite text message conversations.

Now you can pin ongoing conversation threads to the top of your Messages App. This way you don’t have to scroll through a long list of text conversations to get to the one you’re still using.

You can pin both one-on-one conversations and group conversations. And, you can have up to 9 pinned conversation threads at a time.

To Pin a Conversation Thread…

1) Open Your Messages App
2) Long-Press on the conversation You want to pin.
3) Tap the “Pin” option for that conversation’s name.

Now your Pinned Conversation will appear at the top of your Messages App as a round circle with the names of the message participants.

Another way to pin a conversation is to swipe-right on a conversation and tap the yellow Pin icon.

To Unpin a Conversation Thread, just long-press again. And tap Unpin for the conversation’s name.
