Organizing Your Apps with Your New App Library

By iPad Pete 16 Comments

Moving and Deleting Feature

Apple’s most recent iOS 14 update includes the new “App Library”.

The “App Library” is a consolidated page that holds all of your iPhone’s downloaded apps.

This is a great way to better organize the Apps on your iPhone, so they are easier to find when you need them.

The App Library is intelligently categorized based on various themes like Productivity, Finance or Social.

You can easily move apps into your App Library or delete apps within the App Library.

Moving Apps into Your App Library

Declutter your Home Screen by moving Apps from your Home Screen to the App Library.

To move an App into your App Library, touch & hold the App. Then, tap “Remove App”. Don’t worry, this won’t remove the app completely from your iPhone, you’ll get the option to move it instead.

Next, tap “Move app to App Library”.

This is a quick way to make good use of the App Library and enjoy a de-cluttered Home Screen.

Removing Apps

While you’re going through all your Apps in your App Library, it might be a good time to clear out any Apps you haven’t been using.

To remove an app from your iPhone, navigate to the App Library by swiping left as far as you can.

Then, touch and hold the app that you would like to delete and click Delete App.

Confirm your decision by tapping Delete App once more. It’s that simple!

I agree. Although our iPad’s have larger screens it would still be nice to set this up.

I have the latest update IOS 14, but I do not see the App Library. Long before this update, I manually created folders and moved the apps into the appropriate folder. But I would still like to see where the App Library is. Thanks in advance.

The App Library is a new way to organize your iPhone’s apps, introduced in iOS 14. To find it, simply swipe all the way to the very last, rightmost page of your iPhone’s home screen. Once there, you’ll see all of your apps organized into several folders.Sep 29, 2020
