Tips to Prevent Malware
Keep your device updated at all times.
Updating your Android device and apps is an easy way to keep them secure. Android and app updates usually add new features but can also fix bugs and security vulnerabilities.
Only use the official Google Store
Only install apps that you downloaded from the Google App Store. This way, you have a better chance of knowing that the app is safe and has not been infected with malware. But, like in the above apps, malware sometimes slips through into the Google Store.
Check Reviews
You can check app reviews to see if other people have had problems with the app before you install it on your device. If there is a problem with the app, you will hopefully be able to find out about it from the reviews.
Don’t Root Your Device
Rooting is the process of going around the restrictions that carriers put on Android devices and taking full control of your device. With a rooted device, you can install apps and tweaks that aren’t authorized, but you also remove the protections that Android has built in. So, rooting your device can put it in danger.
So, if you have any of the apps above on your device, delete them now. And, be extra careful when downloading new apps in the future.
And, please forward this blog post to your friends and family who have any Android devices.
