Looking For a Certain Photo? Ask Siri!

By iPad Pete 14 Comments

There are many useful apps out there that we regularly use, but one thing is for sure that always gets the job done.

It can open apps, set the alarm, and even order a pizza for you. So is it ringing the bell already? Yes, you’re right, it’s Siri!

We already have tons of guides that show you the different things that Siri offers, and we have another great one that you will surely love.

Aside from the wonderful things that this voice assistant can do, did you know that Siri can search for a specific photo for you?

So whether you need your photos back in 2019 or pictures that you shot from your recent vacation, Siri can find that all.

Searching Photos Based On Time

If you need to see your photos based on a specific date, you can use Siri with these commands.

1. Press and hold your iPhone’s side button or say “Hey, Siri.”

2. Once Siri shows up, say “Show photos from 2019.”

3. You will see that Siri will quickly display all your photos from the year you have asked.

Aside from a specific year, you also try a particular month or even a precise month and day like “Show me pictures from July 4th”.

Searching Photos Based On Location

Aside from time, Siri can also help you find your photos based on location. Do remember that this only works if you have enabled your location services.

If you want to learn more about location services, check this link:
[Turn Location Services On or Off]

1. Press and hold your iPhone’s side button or say “Hey, Siri.”

2. Once Siri shows up, say, “Show photos from July 2021 in Miami Beach.”

3. You will see that the different tags were applied, and you also combine both time and location for a more specific search.

Searching Photos Based On Objects

Now that you already know how to search photos based on their location and time, you can also search a photo using objects. You can actually tell Siri to show you photos of foods and even cute animals such as dogs and cats.

1. Press and hold your iPhone’s side button or say, “Hey, Siri.”
2. Once Siri appears, say, “Show photos of food.”

3. Again, you will see that the “Food” tag is added, which means all photos that include food will be displayed.

Aren’t they cool? So next time you need to check those photos, it will be more practical to use Siri than searching for them manually. With just a few voice commands, these special memories can easily be seen. Thanks again to Siri!
