Shhh iPhone… I’m Trying to Sleep!

By iPad Pete 3 Comments

Did you know you can schedule your iPhone to be quiet during certain hours? (Like during your normal sleep hours.)

Also… you can set it so important people in your life can still get through in an emergency.

To Schedule Do-Not-Disturb Time on Your iPhone…

1) Open your Settings App

2) Scroll down and tap “Do Not Disturb”.

3) Toggle on “Scheduled”.

4) Tap the “To” and “From” time and use the dials to select your start and end time. (This will be the time that your iPhone starts and ends it’s Do Not Disturb mode.)

If you want certain people to still be able to get through in an emergency…

1) Open your Phone App

2) Tap Contacts

3) Tap the Person’s Name

4) Tap Edit in the upper right

5) Tap Ringtone

6) Switch on Emergency Bypass

Now if your “Emergency Contact” calls you while you have Do Not Disturb turned on…

Your iPhone will still ring.

You may want to let them know that they’ll wake you if they call during your sleep hours.

I’m not sure I followed all of the Bypass instructions. I could not find the Bypass on my iPhone 12. Anyone else have problems with that?
