For the longest time, iPhone models have been pushing the envelope when it comes to technology. And iPhone 13 might just give you what you have been waiting for a long time.
There have been a lot of talks in the past few months about the iPhone 13. Set to be launched in September, many people are already checking out the upgrades that come with it. But more than the camera, design, and even a smaller notch, there is one possible upgrade you will be most happy about – battery life!
iPhone users have been called “wall huggers” by some because of their need to charge their phones frequently. But this could soon be a thing of the past. The iPhone 13 could finally give you longer battery life.
iPhone battery has come a long way
If you remember the iPhone 3Gs released in 2009, it had about 1219mAh. It was not until 2014 where Apple was able to go over 2000mAh battery life. It was the the release of iPhone 6 Plus with 2915mAh. And in 2018, the iPhone XS Max boasted a whopping 3174mAh. It was already a huge battery capacity then.
iPhone 13 Max Pro Battery
And for the iPhone 13 Pro Max, it is set to make history with its battery capacity. It is rumored to carry a 4352mAh battery life. It would be the first iPhone to break through the 4000 mark and have the biggest battery capacity in iPhone history. It is also believed that the iPhone 13 Pro and even Mini will get an added battery boost with 3095mAh and 2460mAh respectively.
Battery efficiency with a better processor
But it is not just about the battery. The other side of battery efficiency for the iPhone 13 has a lot to do with the A15-series chip inside the phone as well. This chip will help improve battery efficiency for the phone. This is the enhanced and improved version of the A14 chip that first came out in 2020 used not only in the iPhone 12 but the iPad Air as well.
There are other tech upgrades in the iPhone 13 that can help improve your battery use like the refresh rate. The higher the refresh rate, the smoother and more efficient it is. And the iPhone 13 is rumored to jump from 60Hz at present to an amazing 120Hz rate!
The A15 is believed to help you save as much as 20% battery life! And if it works side by side with the huge 4352mAh battery capacity, you get to use your phone longer in between charging. You will no longer be referred to as a “wall hugger”!
