When Apple released its iOS 15, it didn’t only focus on strengthening the security and performance of the system. Apple also added tons of features that will make our lives easier.
One feature that you will surely love is Live Text.
This feature is one of Apple’s cutting-edge OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology. Live Text simply identifies and copies text directly from your photos or from the object focused on your iPhone’s camera frame.
Take note that the Live Text feature will only work using the models of iPhone XR, XS, and later.
Are you eager to know how you can use it? Here’s how you can do it.
How to Use Live Text in Photos
1. Open an image from your album that you wish to copy its details.
2. Tap .

3. Tap and hold the text area that you want to copy.

4. Tap the control options from the list that you need.

How to Use Live Text With Your iPhone Camera
1. Open your Camera app.

2. Focus your camera’s yellow frame on the text you want to copy.

3. Tap .

4. Highlight the text that you want to copy.

5. Tap “Copy”.

6. Paste the text that you just copied.
In this example, we are pasting the copied note in Notes.

There you have it! Now that you know already how to use Live Text, time to get automated. Just be sure to double-check the text you copied before saving them because this feature is still in beta.
