Apple is well known not only for its outstanding line of products but also for its security. From their desktop operating system to iOS, Apple is a company that cares about their customer’s security. As a matter of fact, their release of the iOS 15 is one of the most advanced mobile operating systems and made iOS more secure.
We have already covered several articles that featured iOS 15. Features that made all our lives easier and more “technologically advanced.” But one for sure is the most important update iOS has given us: the ability to be Private online.
Privacy is something you can’t miss in this current digital world. We should always be aware that we are already exposed to different digital attacks once we are online. The ability to know what you share online is something Apple’s Privacy feature comes in.
Let’s dig in further and learn about the different iOS Privacy features that you can use.
Using Mail Privacy Protection on iPhone
Did you ever wonder why you are getting emails that interest you most or perhaps an email on the location you are currently staying in? That’s because these email senders have already learned and recorded your email activities. Now, to block email senders, you must activate the Mail Privacy Protection on your iPhone.
Once these email senders are blocked, they can no longer monitor your mail activities. This feature also hides your IP address, which means they won’t see your location. Thus, blocking geographical triggered emails.
Another handy feature of this privacy protection is blocking senders from detecting if you opened their emails or not.
To enjoy this privacy feature, here’s how you can activate it:
1. Go to your iPhone’s Settings.

2. Scroll down your screen and look for “Mail”.

3. Tap “Privacy Protection”.

4. Activate the “Protect Mail Activity” toggle.

How to View the Privacy Report on Safari
Safari has a built-in security feature called Intelligent Tracking Prevention. The ITP feature blocks and records the trackers on your websites. The records are then added to the Privacy Report, which you can review immediately.
Aside from blocking trackers, Safari can also set your browsing activities private. It aids in a more secure browsing experience while blocking malicious content that may compromise your personal information.
If you want to review the Privacy Report, here is how you can do it:
1. From your Safari app Tap .

2. Tap “Privacy Report”.

3. You will now see a summary report of the sites that tracked you.

4. If you want to check all the trackers, tap the “Trackers” tab.

Using iCloud Private Relay
If you want to level up your browsing privacy, you can subscribe to iCloud+. Subscribing to iCloud+ lets you increase storage allowance and entitles you to activate iCloud Private Relay. Like a VPN (Virtual Private Network) app, it hides your IP address from websites and network providers.

Your iPhone’s network traffic is securely encrypted and sent to Apple’s Relay and hides both your IP address and location. Through encryption, both your internet activity and location are hidden.
