iOS 15 Create a Memoji of Yourself

By iPad Pete 1 Comment

A Memoji is a virtual self-portrait that you can create on your iPhone.

Your Memoji can be customized, to fit your personality and mood.

Then you can use it to represent yourself, in Messages and FaceTime.

You can also use a compatible iPhone or iPad Pro to create an animated Memoji, that uses your voice and mirrors your facial expressions.

Here’s how you can make a Memoji of yourself, or someone you know.

Step 1. Open the Messages app.

Step 2. Open a current conversation or select “New Message” in the top right corner.

Step 3. Tap the App Store icon to open the app tray (if it is not already available).

Step 4. Tap the sticker button with the three heads.

Or tap the Memoji button with the yellow frame

Step 5. Tap the “More” icon and select “New Memoji” from the menu.

Or scroll to the right and tap “New Memoji” to get started.

Step 6. Scroll through all the options, clothing is the last one, to fully customize your Memoji.

Edit Your Memoji

To edit your Memoji just follow Steps 1 – 5 above but select “Edit” from the menu instead of “New Memoji.”

After you have made your changes, select “Done” in the top right corner to save. You can also select “Duplicate” from the menu and create multiple personalities!

What’s new in iOS 15?

There’s an additional over 40 Memoji outfit choices and up to three different colors to customize your Memoji stickers’ clothing and headwear.

Choose outfits for your Memoji and express yourself with new stickers. Represent your look and style with multicolor headwear. And accessibility customizations now include cochlear implants, oxygen tubes, and soft helmets.

Using your Memoji is easy too. From the Memoji menu, you can make a 30-second video with your Memoji. Or send it in Sticker form with preset expressions using the Sticker menu.

Who will you send your Memoji to first?
