When a text or a photo can’t get your message across, send a video!
Send that cute video of your dog you took last week, make a quick how-to, or show your best friend your newest silly face. The possibilities are endless.
It’s easy to send a video from your camera roll or straight from the Messages app. Let’s start with how to send a video from your library.
Step 1. Open Messages app.
Step 2. Start a new message or select an active conversation.
Step 3. Tap the camera icon next to the text message bar.

Step 4. Your camera will open, then tap the photos icon in the top left corner.

Step 5. Your camera roll will appear at the bottom of the screen. Scroll, if needed, to select the video you want to send.

You can add text to the message as well if you want. The message will appear separate from the video.
Step 6. Hit the “Send” icon to send the video.

To send a video straight from the Messages app, start with Steps 1 – 3 above.
Step 4. Swipe to select “Video” from the camera options.

Step 5. Tap the record button once to begin recording and again to end recording. Select “Done” from the top right corner to add the video to your message.

Step 6. Add a message or just tap the “Send” icon.

In no time at all, you can create or share a video!
This is such a useful feature and easy to use.

Hi Lee,
You can long press on the photo and a menu will popup with the save option. Some videos and pictures may have a download icon next to them that you can also use.
Thanks
Thanks so much for making me look so tech savvy.
New topic. Have I possibly missed instructions from you on how to select one frame from a video and save it as a still pic in Photos?
