How to Order Lunch with an App Clip

By iPad Pete 5 Comments

Apple’s latest update, iOS 14, comes with several handy shortcuts.

One of the best shortcuts is “App Clips”. App Clips allow you to use an app, as well as make purchases, without actually having to download the full app to your iPhone.

For example: Using App Clips, transactions are quick and easy for customers. Reserving movie tickets, ordering food, or paying for parking can be taken care of in a matter of seconds.

All you have to do is open a business’ App Clip, or scan their App Clip Code with your iPhone, approve a purchase with ApplePay, and you’re good to go.

No need to worry about data security — with App Clips, businesses do not gain access to your personal information. As always, your phone’s private data will stay confidential.

To order lunch with an App Clip…

1) Simply go to “Maps” and type in a business you’re looking for — let’s say you want to have lunch at Panera Bread.

2) Next, simply choose a location and select the “Order Food” option that appears on the left side of the screen.

3) Panera’s App Clip will appear, prompting you to open it.

4) From here, you can place an order within Panera’s App Clip and have your food in no time!

To access apps, without having to downloaded them to your iPhone, check out iOS 14’s convenient App Clip feature. It’s that simple!
