How to Mute an Email Thread

By iPad Pete Leave a Comment

Have you ever been part of an email conversation where everyone responds with “Reply All”?

This can quickly clutter up your email inbox.

iOS 13 solves this problem with a new feature called “Mute Email Thread”.

Any new incoming replies that belong to that email conversation will automatically be marked as “read” on arrival.

This way you’ll stop receiving constant notifications for them.

But, the emails will still be available for you to read in your inbox when you’re ready.

To “Mute an Email Thread”…

1) Open your Mail App.
2) Scroll to an email that’s part of a thread.
3) Swipe left until you see options, then let go.
4) Tap “More”
5) Then Tap “Mute”

You can repeat the process if you ever decide to “Unmute” the tread. Then you’ll start receiving notifications again.
