If you’re using an iPhone with the latest version of iOS, you can now easily and quickly merge duplicate contacts in your Contacts app.
With just a few taps, all multiple contact cards for the same person can be merged into one entry, ensuring that your contact list is organized and up-to-date.
This tutorial will explain how to declutter your contacts list using this new feature.
To Merge Duplicate iPhone Contacts:
1) Open Your Contacts App

2) Tap Contacts from the bottom, and Lists on top.

3) Tap to view All your Contacts.

4) The Contacts app will give you a message if it finds any duplicate contacts.
If there are duplicate contacts, tap to view duplicates.

5) Decide if you want to “Ignore” or “Merge All” multiple contacts.

6) Tap “Merge Duplicates.”

Using the new Merge Duplicate Contacts feature in iOS 16, you can quickly and easily declutter your contacts list and make sure that all your contact information is organized and up to date.
