The messaging app WhatsApp claims they have always made the privacy of its users a priority. It offers secure, end-to-end encryption, for example, to help make sure any data sent or received via the app is protected both in transit and at rest.
However, there have been times when experts have questioned the privacy of WhatsApp – privacy that experts say has been compromised on more than one occasion. Like when several Bollywood celebrities had their private conversations leaked.
If you choose to backup your WhatsApp chats to the cloud, for example, the backup itself isn’t necessarily encrypted. All someone would need is your user ID and password to gain access to everything associated with your account.
Therefore, if you want to increase your privacy and disable WhatsApp’s cloud backup functionality on your iPhone, all you have to do is follow a few basic steps.
1. Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.

2. Select your Apple ID from the top of the screen.

3. Scroll down to and select the tab labeled “iCloud.”

4. Scroll through until you find the option labeled “WhatsApp.” Tap once on the green switch to turn it off, preventing WhatsApp from storing any information in your iCloud account moving forward.

And there you have it!
Thank you!
