Hiding Home Screen Pages

By iPad Pete 4 Comments

Everyone has their own unique way of streamlining their iOS home screen, making their devices as productive as possible. Now, iOS 14 makes that easier than ever thanks to the innovative new App Library.

Here, you can find and even hide entire pages of apps to streamline your home screen experience, making it easy to get to the App Library with just a few quick swipes of your finger.

Not only that, but new apps that you download from the App Store will automatically go into the App Library – meaning that you won’t have to hide home screen pages multiple times!

Here’s how you can hide home screen pages and streamline your own iPhone.

1. Touch and hold any empty space on your home screen until everything starts to wiggle, the same way it would if you were trying to uninstall an application.

2. Touch once on the dots near the bottom of your screen to bring up the “Edit Pages” screen. Scroll through until you find the one that you want to hide.

3. Tap the small circle under the page that you want to hide.

4. Tap once on the “Done” button to finish the process. You can now return to your home screen and the page in question will be gone.

Note that hiding pages doesn’t uninstall the apps that were on that page – it simply means that to access them, you’ll need to go directly to the App Library.

But since you can now get to the App Library in fewer swipes, that really shouldn’t be much of a problem at all!

Should you decide that you want to unhide the page in the future, just repeat the steps above and move the hidden page back into its ideal position.

This answered my question on how to easily get to the App Library. I did this and it allowed me to hide all of the pages accept one. Is there a reason for that?
