Consumer Reports Pick the Best Smartphone of 2021

By iPad Pete 3 Comments

If you made a list of the most trusted names in online reviewing, Consumer Reports would undoubtedly be right at the top.

Consumer Reports is a non-profit organization that was actually founded all the way back in 1936.

Over the years they’ve conducted thorough testing and analysis on just about every type of product you can think of, and when they say that something is worth buying, that endorsement tends to carry a lot of weight.

That’s why it’s so exciting that they recently named the iPhone 12 Pro Max as not only one of the best smartphones of 2021, but also the absolute best Smartphone ever!

The Impact of the iPhone 12 Pro Max: An Overview

It’s important to note that this ringing endorsement (no pun intended) of the iPhone 12 Pro Max actually comes in spite of the fact that it costs a full $100 more than the smaller iPhone 12 units.

The experts at Consumer Reports agree that the additional features absolutely justify that cost – in particular the longer battery life, the larger display and the far better camera.

That’s not to say that the iPhone 12 Pro Max isn’t without its potential downsides, because it certainly is.

It’s significantly heavier than a lot of the other models released last year, and the awkward shape makes it difficult to use for people with smaller hands.

But still – when you consider the sheer amount of value that Apple has been able to pack into their flagship device, it’s no wonder that it has made such a big impression among so many people.

Other smartphones on the Consumer Reports list include options like the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G, which was named as the Best Android Phone of 2021. Another impressive entry – the OnePlus Nord N10 5G – actually managed to snag not one but two awards.

It took home the title of “Best Budget Phone and “Best Phone for All-Day Battery Life.”

When you consider the impact that the iPhone 12 Pro Max was able to have in such a short amount of time, it’s truly exciting to think about what the upcoming iPhone 13 models may have in store for us all.
