In an emergency, Your iPhone’s Medical ID can provide vital information about you, such as your allergies, medical conditions, and contact details for your emergency contacts.

To Create Your Medical ID
1) Open your Health app

2) Tap your Photo or your Initials in the upper-right corner.

3) Tap Medical ID

4) Tap Get Started

5) Enter your Medical Information

6) Tap Add Emergency Contact under Emergency Contacts

7) Add your Emergency Contacts’ Information by selecting from your Contacts List, and entering your relationship with your contact. You can select several Emergency Contacts to your list.
8) Tap Done
Now anyone can quickly access your Medical ID right from the Home Screen – simply tap and hold on the Health app icon, then select Medical ID.
At the end of an emergency call, your iPhone will send a text message to notify your emergency contacts unless you cancel it. If available, your iPhone will text your current location.
Your emergency contacts will also get updates if your location changes, like if you’re brought to a hospital.
Set Your Medical ID Emergency Access
If you allow it, your Emergency Medical Information from your Medical ID can be automatically shared during a 911 call.
And the information is also available on your iPhone Lock Screen and Apple Watch.
To Allow Sharing Your Medical ID:
1) Open your Health App.
2) Tap your Photo or your Initials in the upper-right corner.
3) Tap Medical ID
4) Tap Edit

5) Switch on Show When Locked and Emergency Call

Now Emergency personnel can view your Medical ID from the Lock Screen by swiping up.
Or, on older models, they view the information by pressing the Home button.
Then they’ll tap Emergency on the passcode screen

And finally, tap Medical ID

They can now view the Medical Information you have listed in.

How to Edit or Delete Medical ID
1) Open your Health App.
2) Tap your Photo or your Initials in the upper-right corner.
3) Tap Medical ID
4) Tap Edit to make changes to your Emergergency Information.

5) Or tap Delete Medical ID if you wish to remove your information.
