Apple’s “Hi Speed” Event

Apple had it’s big “Hi, Speed” event on Tuesday. They finally unveiled the four new iPhone 12 models and a new HomePod mini.

Apple revealed the new iPhone 12 design, which has flat edges like the old iPhone 4 and 5. The entire iPhone 12 line will support a faster 5G connection. Apple has also announced their new “Ceramic Shield” will make their glass screens more durable.

Here are the highlights of the four different iPhone 12 models…

iPhone 12 Standard

The iPhone 12 Standard Model was available for pre-order Friday October 16th. And it’s offical release date is next Friday, October 23rd. The price is $829 for the Standard iPhone 12.

iPhone 12 Mini

For those who miss having a smaller pocket-size phone… Apple also unveiled a smaller version of the iPhone 12 called the “iPhone 12 Mini”. The Mini iPhone won’t be available until November 13th, with preorders on November 6th. The mini is priced $100 cheaper than the standard at $729.

iPhone Pro Max

On the other side of the spectrum… Apple also announed the biggers iPhone ever made called the iPhone Pro Max. It has a 6.7″ screen and three cameras with a 5X zoom. The iPhone Pro Max also has a LIDAR sensor for augmented reality and faster autofocus. The iPhone 12 Pro Max won’t be availble until Novemeber 13th, with pre-orders on November 6th. The price goes up $270 from the standard iPhone 12 with a price tag of $1099.

iPhone 12 Pro

The iPhone 12 Pro was also announced with a slightly smaller screen size of 6.1″. But, it only shaves off $100 from the Pro Max at $999. The iPhone 12 Pro is available October 23rd with preorders started on October 16th.
